Due to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19), and in accordance with recommendations, guidance, and directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the West Virginia, and Monongalia County Health Department, we are conducting our Weekly Rotary meetings both in-person and offering them virtually, on-line, using Zoom. The Mission of the Cheat Lake Rotary Club is to build meaningful friendships and build members up while we serve our local community as well as the world at large. We affect real change with real people interactions. We believe there is value by meeting in person each week, serving locally through hands-on projects as well as monetary donations and serving internationally with human development projects.
Rotarians bring intelligence, financial resources and willing hearts to help others grow, become more healthy, support themselves and build stronger relationships with others. Rotarians create meaning for life.
When we see a need, we don’t just look — we organize and take action to make this community, region, and world better because we are here. We are religiously, politically, and financially diverse. We act in unity and feel like a second family to each other.

For over 40 years, the members of the Rotary Club of Cheat Lake have made a lasting impact on our community, through service projects, monetary donations, and championing the exciting Cheat Lake area. Our projects have ranged from local public library facility expansion efforts to helping provide clean water and humanitarian aid opportunities through international efforts as Cheat Lake Rotarians have personally participated. In the 2022-2023 Rotary year, for example, our club had an impact of just over $118,000, with over 90% going to programs and services right here in the Greater Morgantown area.
We are your neighbors, community leaders and global citizens uniting for the common good, while creating community, having fun and building better friendships. With you we can accomplish more!
